ABOUT IT

The project carries out selective collection from restaurant and fast food chains (4,000), plus collection from food processing industries for the biodigestion process to produce Biomentane, helping to avoid landfill disposal (methane is generated), and use as renewable energy in the exchange of transport matrices, in accordance with the policy of decarbonization of the São Paulo economy and the Kyoto protocol to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

The deadline for completion is 18 months.

Results and Objectives

Objectives:

  • Promote a reduction or optimization in the energy consumption of the company's businesses and operations;
  • Promote the diversification of energy sources for the company's businesses and operations towards clean energy (generated from low-impact renewable sources)..;
  • Generate new clean energy alternatives for marketing/selling to third parties..;

Results:

Production of 2,100,000 m3 of Biomethane, 36,500 units/year of emission reduction certificates;

Recovery of 36,500 tons/year of waste from landfill.
