Brasil Pelo Meio Ambiente

ABOUT IT

Tetra Pak has partnered with Ponta Grossa's Environment Department to make it possible to send organic waste from its factory to the city's thermoelectric plant. The plant, which opened in 2021, transforms organic waste (collected by a 100% electric truck) into biogas - which powers electricity generators.

With the project, Tetra Park contributes to the diversification of energy sources by using inputs to generate biofuel.

Results and Objectives

SDGs

12. Responsible consumption and production , 17. Partnerships and means of implementation , 7. Affordable and clean energy
