ABOUT IT
Since 2022, the project has enabled the collection of waste at the Embu das Artes plant in the form of a container, where anyone can dispose of recyclable material (glass, cardboard or paperboard).
The collected cardboard or paper packaging goes into Ibema's production process, reducing the use of new natural resources. The glass collected goes to a partner company of the project, where it is also recycled.
Results and Objectives
The project makes it possible to reduce the amount of materials sent to landfills or to the environment. In addition, waste pickers or individuals receive a higher value than that practiced on the market, as the project has reduced the number of links in the chain, such as cooperatives.
