ABOUT IT
Dow has developed a family of resins made from Post-Consumer Recycled Plastic (PCR) - REVOLOOP™ recycled plastic resins. This resin created from post-consumer plastic waste has been designed specifically for packaging applications.
With REVOLOOP™ recycled plastic resins, the company is reducing plastic waste and making recycling possible. Through the technology, Dow is encouraging its customer companies to achieve their sustainability goals by using PCR resins in their packaging. In addition, it contributes to the creation of packaging that can be mechanically recycled and converted into PCR in the future.
Results and Objectives
DOW's project stimulates the recycling of plastic materials throughout Brazil. The REVOLOOP™ resin market is expected to reach more than 20,000 tons of circular products being sold in Brazil, moving the entire recycling chain and adding value to the material.
