Brasil Pelo Meio Ambiente

ABOUT IT

The Flex Store project aims to solve the problem of plastic waste in remote locations. The startup operates in the Amazon, helping to process different types and colors of plastic waste without the need for separation or cleaning. This process generates a by-product called "ecological gravel", which is used in construction and can be used to make cheaper bricks, contributing to a circular economy. Flex Stone is a patented technology developed at the Guamá Science and Technology Park (UFPA) over 4 years, which can process 96% of all types of plastic. The project has a partnership with the Belém Recyclables Cooperative.
