ABOUT IT

Therpol's project aims to reduce the production of virgin plastics and as a substitute product use thermoplastic with the main asset being natural rubber, contributing to a circular economy and the planting of rubber trees. The company's initiative therefore seeks to use rubber as the main active ingredient in products such as sneaker soles and sandal straps, thereby reducing the use of virgin plastics in the production process. Thus, Therpol's project contributes to avoiding the deposit of plastic materials, which are harmful to the environment, in landfills.

Results and Objectives

The aim of the project is to use natural rubber in various production chains.

The results of the project were the use of natural rubber in sneaker soles, sandal straps, plastic automotive components such as doors, carpets, dashboards and covers.
