Waste recovery for the generation of Refuse-derived Fuel (RDF)
ABOUT IT
The company's project was implemented at the end of 2020 and during the years 2021, 2022 and 2023 the non-recyclable waste, assimilated to household waste, was diverted from the landfill, sent to a Solid Waste Recovery Plant and generated Waste-derived Fuel (RDF), which is a raw material/fuel for the cement industry.
Results and Objectives
The objectives of the project are:
- In 2021, 1,159 tons of solid waste stopped going to landfills.
- Reduction in greenhouse gas emissions of approximately: 131 tCO2/year
