ABOUT IT
The purpose of this project is the reduction of CO2 and the reduction of Heat Islands in the city of Guarulhos by planting trees. In 2010, Cummins Brasil established a partnership with the City of Guarulhos, through the Ilhas Verdes Program, which aims to plant trees at strategic points in the city to reduce heat and CO2 zones.

Results
Reducing the temperature in industrial areas of the region;
- Absorbing CO2 gas;
- Ongoing and continual project (no deadline for completion);
- From 2010 to 2022, 6,280 trees were planted;
- 243.68 MTons of CO2 were captured;
- 635 people were educated in environmental awareness.
