ABOUT IT
O Carbon Neutral Project of Cidade Center Norte (CCN) consists of neutralization of 100% of greenhouse gas emissions (scopes 1, 2 and 3) of his ventures in São Paulo: Shopping Center Norte, Lar Center and Expo Center Norte.
The initiative combines:
Reducing emissions through energy efficiency, LED lighting retrofit, equipment modernization, and electrification of the security fleet;
Waste management and circular economy, making use of materials and reducing emissions;
Offsetting residual emissions for carbon credits from wind energy.
Results and Objectives
Environmental objectives:
Neutralize the immediate climate impact;
Reduce absolute emissions by 20% by 2030 (scopes 1 and 3), according to the SBTi methodology.

Since 2021, all the electrical energy used is 100% renewable, eliminating scope 2 emissions;
O lighting retrofit (replacing vapor lamps with LEDs) reduced 1,070.56 GJ in energy consumption;
Modernizing the electrical park and electrifying the security fleet prevents approximately 21 tons of CO₂ per year;
Actions of circular economy in the last three years resulted in avoidance of approximately 5,000 tons of CO₂;
The milestone of complete neutralization of scopes 1, 2 and 3 was achieved in 2025, with continued efforts to reduce absolute emissions by 20% by 2030.
