Brazil for the Environment

ABOUT IT

The project promotes circular economy in civil construction through post-consumer gypsum recycling:

Main objectives:

  1. Collection and recycling from gypsum waste from customers and partners in the construction industry;

  2. Adaptation of industrial processes to incorporate recycled gypsum;

  3. Development of gypsum boards with a high percentage of recycled material (e.g., Infinaé in France – 50% recycled; United Kingdom – 100% recycled).

Benefits of the closed loop:

  • Reducing the extraction of virgin raw materials;

  • Reducing waste disposal in landfills;

  • Contribution to decarbonization and circular economy;

  • Positive social and economic impacts (new business models, strategic partnerships, and support for cooperatives).
