ABOUT IT

O Project TAMPET – Bottle Caps that Save Lives It is an initiative of Trust Group which combines sustainability, social responsibility and animal causes.
The project aims to to promote environmental awareness and at the same time, to support social institutions that work to protect animals in vulnerable situations..

The action consists of Collection and proper disposal of plastic (PET) bottle caps, which are subsequently sent for recycling. The money raised from the sale of the material is entirely allocated to organizations and shelters that care for rescued dogs and cats.

The initiative seeks to create a virtuous cycle of sustainability, reducing the improper disposal of waste and contributing to the circular economy. Furthermore, it reinforces the engagement of employees and the community, promoting the environmental education and the sense of solidarity.

TAMPET is aligned with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) from the UN, focusing on:

  • SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production;

  • SDG 15: Life on Earth.

Results and Objectives

Project Objectives

• Reduce the improper disposal of plastic waste, especially PET bottle caps.
• To promote awareness about recycling and sustainability among employees and the community.
• To provide financial support animal protection institutions through the sale of recyclable bottle caps.
• Engage employees in corporate volunteering initiatives and of social impact.
• Create sustainability indicators for continuous monitoring of project results.
• To contribute to SDGs 12 and 15, reinforcing the Trust Group's environmental and social commitment.

Results and Impacts

Social:
• Direct support to institutions and shelters dedicated to animal welfare.
• Encouraging volunteering and a culture of solidarity among employees.
• Community involvement in educational initiatives about proper waste disposal and the circular economy.

Environmental:
• Proper disposal of plastic bottle caps, preventing their disposal in landfills or the environment.
• Reducing pollution and encouraging the recycling of plastic materials.
• Contribution to SDGs 12 and 15 (Responsible Consumption and Life on Land).

Operational:
• Implementation of a system of quarterly collection and weighing made from PET bottle caps.
• Creation of progressive fundraising goals based on employee participation.

Current Metrics:
• The initial project metric is the Total weight of bottle caps collected per quarter (kg).
• In the first three months (April to June), the focus is on monitoring adherence and defining baseline goals.
• The initial goal set is to 10 kg per quarter, with projected gradual growth as engagement increases.
