Reframing waste: recycling banners
ABOUT IT
The project aims to reduce the generation of waste from the use of banners at all Sesc units in Minas Gerais. To achieve this goal, Sesc is hiring a company specialized in recycling, transforming this waste into products such as necessaires, lunch boxes, car waste garbage cans and sustainable ecobags, which will later be used in environmental awareness and education campaigns.
Results and Objectives
Through the project, approximately 224 disused banners, which would have been destined for landfill, became the raw material for the making 250 trash cans for cars, 100 ecobags, 100 necessaires and 100 thermal lunch boxes.
