Sustainable Challenge – Clothes that Keep You Warm – Environment Week

In celebration of Environment Week, held between June 4th and 6th, 2025, Aeroportos Brasil Viracopos promoted the Sustainable Challenge – Clothes that Keep You Warm. The initiative aimed to raise awareness within the airport community about the importance of solidarity actions associated with environmental education, encouraging reflection on the fate of textile waste, which, when improperly disposed of, can contribute to soil and water contamination and degradation.
Results and Objectives
The activity included a competition that awarded prizes to three teams with the highest scores, according to the criteria defined in the challenge rules. In total, [amount] was raised. 4,138 pieces of clothing, subsequently intended for Campinas City Hall's Winter Clothing Drive.
It is estimated that approximately 4,138 pieces of clothing They are no longer being disposed of incorrectly, thus reducing the volume of textile waste potentially sent to landfills, dams, or the environment.
