Objectives

O “"We are sustainable"” its main objective to map and monitor sustainable projects ongoing at the company, identifying their environmental, social and economic benefits.

To participate in the program, initiatives must be aligned with at least one of the following: Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the UN 2030 Agenda, including its goals and/or sub-goals.

Teams with one or more initiatives aligned with the SDGs become part of a internal ranking, competing for recognition and awards.

Among the main specific objectives of the program are:

• To encourage innovation and the adoption of best operational practices;

• Reduce costs and optimize resources;

• To promote sustainable growth and environmental awareness;

• To increase institutional visibility in sustainability;

• Increase competitiveness in the market;

• To encourage the search for new revenue opportunities;

• Reduce or optimize the energy consumption of operations;

• Properly manage waste, including contaminants, glass, plastic, paper and cardboard, metal, and organic material.

Results

Currently, the program It has 10 registered sustainable projects., which are already showing positive results in different dimensions:

• Environmental: Reducing waste generation and atmospheric emissions;

• Social: Creating learning opportunities, training people, and generating jobs;

• Economic: estimated financial benefits R$ 1,500,000.00 per year.

The program It has no closing date., being an integral part of Aeroportos Brasil Viracopos' sustainability strategy. The expectation is that, over time, the environmental, social, and economic benefits will be expanded and consolidated as one of the pillars of the company's sustainable development.
