ABOUT IT
The ESG Hub, created in 2022, a project by Itaú Unibanco, aims to promote knowledge and innovation initiatives for net zero, boosting decarbonization. The hub is part of Itaú Cube, the largest innovation hub in Latin America and, since its creation in 2022, it has grown from 6 to 34 startups focused on the net zero transition and ESG and has three main areas of work: (1) Knowledge and innovation for net zero; (2) Connections and solutions for net zero and (3) Positioning and communication. Itaú's project "The ESG Cube" is an initiative that contributes to decarbonization.
Results and Objectives
For Itaú, the program is allowing the bank to position itself as a partner for its clients in their decarbonization journey, a key element of our net zero journey.
The solutions promoted by the ESG Cube enable a reduction in GHG emissions and the expansion of emerging themes such as circular economy, bioeconomy with the conservation of native forests and sustainability as well as blue economy.
