ABOUT IT
With the aim of restoring and recovering the Guariroba stream basin by replanting native cerrado seedlings, the Isaac de Oliveira Nursery was created in 2010 by the Águas Guariroba concessionaire with the aim of subsidizing rural producers in the two basins that supply Campo Grande to recover the riparian forests. The nursery has the capacity to produce 50,000 native cerrado seedlings a year.
This project required institutional capacity among the various entities and was only possible thanks to an alignment of common objectives. As one of the project's main supporters and executors, the project falls outside the utility's standard scope of action. This means that the company had to address issues such as soil conservation, environmental legislation in the field, APPs, legal reserves and forest fragments.
The implementation of the project has been completed and the project will be maintained..
