Brazil Circular Ecosystem
HP Brazil
ABOUT IT
The “Brazilian Circular Ecosystem” has ambitious goals to reduce the environmental impact of HP's supply chain, from end to end.
Through circular design, HP has, since 2012, managed to use 8,400 tons of recycled or recovered HP equipment exclusively for the production of 10 million printers with up to 40% of recycled content.
Through UL certification Zero Waste, to landfill Since 2019, HP has been able to ensure that all waste generated in local production in Brazil is recovered, recycled, or treated, without being sent to landfills.
In addition to the treatment provided for its supply chain, the company works with more than 21 cooperatives of recyclable waste collectors, developing a socio-environmental initiative and establishing a fair economic model for the purchase of electronic waste, developing better working conditions, and promoting environmental education actions. To date, more than 600 tons of electronic waste have been collected since 2018 within the scope of these partnerships.
