ABOUT IT
The action, coordinated between one and a half degrees, Brigada Aliança, Instituto Homem Pantaneiro (IHP) and Polo Socioambiental Sesc Pantanal and with financial support from JBS, aims to protect the Pantanal biome through early fire detection, rapid response with the action of highly equipped and qualified forest brigades and generation of analytical, operational and community impact data.
The integration of information such as the location of fire brigades, available resources and equipment, activation time, travel time to the fire site, fire fighting and extinguishing time, and contact with surrounding landowners allows for a rapid response to fires. Educational actions on fire prevention are also planned for the surrounding communities.

Results and Objectives
2.5 million hectares of forested area have already been preserved, and the project aims to preserve another 2 million hectares by 2025.
In addition to reducing the occurrence of fires and structuring more efficient responses, the project foresees expanding the scope to include elements directly related to carbon stocks and biodiversity.
