Eurofarma, in its Vision 2027, has committed to ensuring the exclusive use of renewable sources in its electricity matrix. Through solutions available on the market, the Self-Production category has been identified as an innovative practice in the pharmaceutical sector, and this model will be adopted by the organization from 2023 onwards in all its manufacturing operations in Brazil.
To achieve this goal, the company partnered with Serena, the largest Brazilian generator of renewable energy, to participate in the Assuruá 4 wind farm in Gentio do Ouro, Bahia.

Results and Objectives

The goal is to reduce carbon emissions by 260,000 tons by 2038, contributing to environmental preservation and promoting industrial practices aligned with a more sustainable future.

Currently, 100% of manufacturing operations in Brazil use renewable energy, with projections to reduce carbon emissions by 260,000 tons by 2038.
