The project aims reduce the amount of gel packs sent to landfills, a residue generated during the transportation of imported reagents (~60 tons/year).

Main actions:

• Development of internal machine To separate the components of the gel packs:

  • Plastic: recycled and reintroduced into the supply chain as raw material

  • Gel (99% water, 1% polymer): treated as safe liquid effluent

• Internal implementation in Distribution Center in Joinville (SC)

The project contributes to circular economy, emissions reduction and preservation of natural resources, completely avoiding disposal in landfills.
