Brazil for the Environment

ABOUT IT

The Green Initiative promotes the planting of trees in degraded biomes in Brazil. Over the 3 years of the project, we have been able to plant 1,368 trees in the Atlantic Forest, Serra da Mantiqueira.

Marsh McLennan contributed to forest restoration projects in 2021. The planting areas are in the Serra da Mantiqueira region, in the Atlantic Forest biome. In 2021, 368 seedlings were planted. In 2022 there were 500 and in 2023 another 500, with the possibility of renewing the partnership for 2024. Amigo da Floresta is a voluntary forest restoration program for degraded areas in Brazil. Created in 2008, Amigo da Floresta uses voluntary blended finance to make forest restoration viable in the country.
