The Sustainable Logistics Ingredion's strategy aims to optimize the company's logistics operations in Brazil, integrating multiple areas to reduce environmental impact, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen collaboration with customers, suppliers, and partners.

Main actions:

  • Route optimization and backhaul strategy, combining loads and reducing kilometers traveled and freight costs.

  • Introducing biogas-powered trucks into the fleet, reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

  • Using rail transport for part of the journey reduces emissions and costs.

  • Bulk loading and the use of larger trucks increase efficiency and reduce emissions.

  • Standardization of pallets ("Perfect Pallet"), reducing waste of wood and cardboard and decreasing damage.
