ABOUT IT

The project aims improve the management of organic waste at Mosaic construction sites (Araxá unit). Before the initiative, organic waste was disposed of in regular trash cans, causing odors, attracting vectors and wasting useful raw material.

Main actions:

  • Construction of composting system based on vermicomposting, using earthworms and microorganisms to decompose food scraps;

  • Production of high quality humus, used for fertilizing vegetables and green areas within the garden itself;

  • Creation of a sustainable cycle Reusing organic waste.
