ABOUT IT
The project consists of reprocessing of drainage waste from the power plant, which were originally directed towards the BD2 dam. Following feasibility studies, a route for reusing these waste materials:
The materials that settle in dam ponds They are loaded onto trucks and taken to hopper;
In the hopper, it occurs crushing the material;
The processed material is then targeted for recovery piles, returning to production process, reducing waste.
Results and Objectives
Reduce the amount of waste. deposited in dams, minimizing environmental impacts;
Reintegrating waste into the production process, promoting a circular economy;
Reduce the use of areas for waste disposal.;
To generate operational and sustainable efficiency., making use of materials previously considered passive.
Until August 2025, 423,648 tons were waste reprocessed, preventing the deposit in the dam;
100% of the processed material returned to the production cycle., adding value to the by-product;
Project developed using internal resources., with no additional implementation costs;
Minimizing environmental impact, reducing the risks associated with the disposal of tailings in dams.
