ABOUT IT

The program “"Soil for Future Generations"” It's a partnership between Mars and the company. Producing Right, with the objective of encourage and develop regenerative agriculture practices among rural producers in the Mato Grosso region, focused on corn and soy.

The project promotes:

  • Soil health protection and restoration;

  • Optimization of natural resources;

  • Reducing greenhouse gas emissions;

  • Increased agricultural productivity, in a sustainable way;

  • Producer training for the implementation of good agricultural practices.

Results and Objectives

Objectives

  1. Empowering rural producers in regenerative soil management practices;

  2. Reduce carbon emissions associated with the production of corn and soybeans;

  3. Protecting and preserving soil health and optimize the use of resources;

  4. Increase agricultural productivity without harming the environment;

  5. To promote economic and environmental sustainability. within the agricultural production chain.

Results (until now)

  • Area affected: 10,782.3 hectares;

  • Total production impacted: approximately 40,000 tons of grain;

  • Reducing carbon emissions: 1,180.9 tons of CO₂;

  • Actions implemented on two farms, including corn and soybeans;

  • On one of the farms, Emissions per ton of corn were reduced by 8 times.;

  • Transforming agricultural practices to reduce environmental impact and increase economic sustainability.
