Brazil for the Environment

ABOUT IT

The project arose from PepsiCo's need in ensuring the recyclability of BOPP, material used in part of the portfolio, such as snack packaging.

Due to complexity of recycling BOPP, which combines different materials, the eureciclo project structured a exclusive and personalized chain to:

  • Collect and separate BOPP efficiently;

  • To allocate the aluminum of packaging such as Municipal Waste-Derived Fuel (MWD), harnessing its energy in the cement industry as a replacement for petroleum coke;

  • Transform the plastic in new BOPP packaging, completing the circularity cycle.
