Brazil for the Environment

ABOUT IT

The project develops a Sustainable portfolio of diagnostic imaging, based on:

  • Ecodesign and circularityRefurbished equipment (Ecoline range) and Fit Upgrades, extending service life by more than 10 years.

  • Energy efficiency:

    • Intelligent Eco Power/Gradient modes, reducing energy consumption by 30–40% per device.

    • AI Deep Resolve to accelerate exams and reduce energy per patient by up to 13%.

  • Reduction of critical resourcesDryCool sealed magnets eliminate the need for continuous use of liquid helium.

  • RecyclabilityEquipment containing more than 96% of recyclable materials, with Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs).

  • Economic objectivesReduce operational and maintenance costs, democratize access to medical technology, and offer competitive solutions in tenders with ESG criteria.

Results and Objectives

Results Achieved / Impacts

  • Reducing energy consumption:

    • 30–40% in resonance systems with Eco Power/Gradient modes (~18,000 kWh/year per unit).

    • Further reduction of up to 13% per patient via AI.

  • Reduction of CO₂ emissionsUp to 59% in Fit Upgrades compared to manufacturing new equipment.

  • Continuous liquid helium elimination, reducing environmental impact and energy dependence.

  • CircularityExtending the lifespan of equipment and refurbishing it.

  • Expanding access to medical technology for smaller hospitals and remote regions.
