The project Mosaic Sustainable Packaging Visa promoting the circular economy in the agricultural sector through reverse logistics of post-consumer plastic packaging.

The process includes:

  1. Collection of post-consumer plastic packaging generated in the fields;

  2. Packaging recycling for the production of post-consumer resin (PCR);

  3. Manufacturing new packaging using PCR, ensuring traceability and technical, environmental and social compliance;

  4. Reducing the consumption of virgin materials and CO₂ emissions in the packaging production chain;

  5. Contribution to Net-Zero goals, accounting for the positive impact on emissions (Scope 3).

The project has already recovered. more than 110 tons of plastic packaging and produced over 1 million packages with recycled content, serving multiple states across the country.

Results and Objectives

Project objectives

  1. Develop sustainable alternatives to the consumption of non-renewable materials;

  2. Reduce CO₂ emissions in the packaging production chain;

  3. Reduce the consumption of natural resources in the agricultural supply chain;

  4. Create and strengthen a circular economy network packaging;

  5. To contribute to the company's Net-Zero goal, considering Scope 3 emissions.

Results / Indicators

  • Recycled plastic packaging: 110 tons;

  • New packaging produced with PCR: >1 million;

  • Estimated reduction in CO₂ emissions: approximately 1,000 tons;

  • Coverage: More than 8 states;

  • Positive impact on the circular economy: Yes, under continuous evaluation.
