ABOUT IT

The project's IQX It is a technology-based company founded by PhDs in Chemistry, which develops and produces compatibilizing additives for plastics — innovative solutions that promote circularity of materials, o increased recyclability and the reducing the carbon footprint in production chains that are intensive in plastics, such as the packaging industry.

IQX additives work by enabling union between different polymers, making it possible to reuse complex plastic waste previously considered refuse. With this, IQX offers a technically and economically viable alternative by replacing traditional mechanical recycling, increasing the value of recycled material and reducing the need for virgin resin of fossil origin.

Results and Objectives

Consolidated Results (2024 – May/2025)

With the sale of 38 tons of IQX additives, The results achieved were:

  • Reducing the consumption of virgin resin of fossil origin: 620 tons

  • Reducing the amount of plastic sent to landfills: 115 tons

  • Reducing GHG emissions: 7,451 tons of CO₂

  • Energy saved: 11,424 MWh

  • Water saved: 24,170 m³
