Brasil Pelo Meio Ambiente

ABOUT IT

The project began in 2010 with the migration of 10 buildings to incentivized and sustainable energy networks. Since then, the company has also established and encouraged projects to modernize air conditioning, optimize sites and equipment and demobilize offices.

In 2016, Algar became the first operator to implement photovoltaic solar energy in a station, with the pilot project of 10 generation plants next to the load - local self-consumption. In 2021, Algar totaled 24 buildings in incentivized and sustainable energy networks, making it possible, with the acquisition of I-RECs, to reach the 100% renewable energy mark.

Since 2020, a specific energy management platform has been developed for Algar Telecom's demands, with several management views and aligned with Analytics for monitoring and verifying consumption and cost reduction opportunities, which makes it possible to generate an integrated report that contains the above information and undergoes external certification.
