As part of its strategy to reduce the GHG emissions generated by its vehicle fleet, Siemens Healthineers Brazil has increased its offer of online and remote customer services, as well as promoting remote work for administrative employees. These measures lead to a reduction in the mileage of the company's service fleet, reducing scope 1 and 2 emissions, while also contributing to reducing emissions caused by employee commuting.
To boost these initiatives, the fleet of customer service vehicles was renewed, guaranteeing low-emission vehicles, with annual car servicing planned, as well as encouraging and making employees aware of the priority use of ethanol in refueling, internationally recognized for its low carbon footprint when compared to gasoline.
Results and Objectives
Com a implementação destas medidas, espera-se reduzir aproximadamente 300 toneladas de emissões de CO2 até o final de 2025.
