The aim of the project is to generate solar energy for production and use in Operations. With the implementation of the solar plant, the American Tower is now generating its own consumption for Operations and POPs Stations for the fiber optic network.
Monthly figures and indicators (Dashboard) are obtained that track the production and energy generated and injected into the Electric GRID of the local energy concessionaire (CEMIG). Based on this, this energy is "discounted" in more than 150 Consumer Units.
Net Zero: yes - Reduction of 40% of CO2 emissions by 2026
Results and Objectives
Solar energy production project with an annual production of 3,400MWh (three thousand four hundred megawatt-hours per year), which is equivalent to not emitting 250T CO2/year and using clean energy for our scope 2, or the consumption of 1,860 homes, when considering the national average of 152kWh per home per month.
