ABOUT IT
The Oil Recovery Unit aims to minimize the generation of oily waste from the refining process by reusing the three constituent phases: oil, water and solids.
The recovered oil is sent for processing together with the cargo from the Delayed Coking Unit and the water and solids recovered are incorporated into the formulation of green petroleum coke.
The implementation of the project was completed in 2014 and will be maintained
Results and Objectives
The implementation of this unit avoided the need for environmentally appropriate disposal of an average of 12,000 m³ of waste per yearreducing the environmental impacts and costs associated with such disposal.
