Project description

The project aims to restore the spring of the Palmeiras community., which faces threats such as:

  • Trampling of cattle;

  • Removal of native vegetation.

Recovery efforts include:

  1. Planting of 150 seedlings native and fruit-bearing plants adapted to humid environments in 0.39 hectares;

  2. Enclosure of the area with smooth wire and treated eucalyptus posts;

  3. Chemical and organic fertilization;

  4. Ant control and crown weeding;

  5. Continuous monitoring through technical visits;

  6. Environmental education and engagement with the local community.

The goal is to protect the soil, improve the water retention, attract local wildlife and ensure the environmental and water quality from the source.
