ABOUT IT
The project replaces the iron mesh used in concrete pouring by polyethylene fibers on the access roads to the Paranaguá maritime terminal.
Problems with the traditional method:
The use of steel generated waste, high cost, complexity of execution and need for transportation and disposal;
Solution implemented:
Use of fiberglass/polyethylene for three-dimensional reinforcement of concrete;
Bigger durability, fire resistance and crack reduction;
Compatible with conventional concrete pouring equipment;
Reducing environmental risk and simplifying the construction process.
Results and Objectives
Reduce environmental impacts related to steel;
Reduce transportation, installation, and disposal costs Hardware;
Increase efficiency and safety during the execution of the work;
Contribute to circular economy practices in construction.
Reducing environmental risk from medium to low;
Simplifying the concrete pouring process and reducing metal waste.
