Sustainable Logistics in Healthcare

As part of its ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) strategic plan to adopt better environmental, social and governance practices, the introduction of electric vehicles in the transportation of biological samples collected at the service units and other materials to the technical headquarters began in December 2021. The initiative includes the introduction of 66 electric motorcycles and a further five electric cargo tricycles.

By replacing the fossil-fueled motorcycles used in operations with electric motorcycles, as well as the inclusion of electric tricycles, in partnership with the logistics provider, the scope 1 emissions measured will be reduced, contributing to the Net Zero commitment, which is currently being structured, and to the company's climate change program.
